Invisible Sports Bra

Multiway sports bra invisible under clothes!

Multiway sports bra invisible under clothes!

If you are looking for a sports bra that doesn’t show under tops, have a look at the Shock Absorber multiway sports bra. I have switched to this skin tone bra to wear under white sports tops for Spring/Summer when I go to the gym. The cups are made from a double layer of microfibre and are completely smooth, therefore pretty well invisible under clothes.

This is the most flexible sports bra Shock Absorber have invented as there are 5 different ways to wear the straps, depending on your sport and the shape of the top you are wearing over it. There are 2 sets of straps – wide and padded for comfort, or narrow to wear under strappy tops. A strip of open weave webbing runs beneath the bust helping you stay cool and as you’d expect, this bra features all the latest moisture wicking coolmax fabrics on offer.

Our verdict on the Shock Absorber Multiway

A feature laden sports bra, perfect for B – C cups at most activity levels or for larger cups with light to moderate exercise. Not as much support as the shock absorber classic sports bra, which has a super supportive 3 part cup design. This product is being discontinued by shock absorber, sadly, as it fills a really useful gap in the market for smaller cups. When we run out we won’t be getting any more stock so order it now if you think you need it!  Follow the link to buy this bra at Harwayes Lingerie.

My PR Photography Day and Dove’s Campaign For Real Beauty

Well I’m glad to say it’s over and I don’t plan to be on the wrong side of the camera lens for a while – my PR photography is done so at least I can put a face to the company. I think it is important to present a personal image for the company – it really isn’t an ego trip so much as a signature, a kind of buyer security – I am a real person, you can trust and rely on my products, in the same way as celebrity chefs put their signature on cookware. I will load a few pics on here at some point.

In the meantime, check out this video from Dove (the toiletery brand). They have a campaign for ‘Real Beauty’ and I think this video sums up what fashion photographers and designers really do to images of young women: It is quite short (20 seconds perhaps) and shows the transformation of a model from when she arrives at the studio to when she appears on a cosmetics poster. Show it to your young teenaged sons and daughters – its a real eye opener and well worth a look.

No Wonder our Perception of Beauty is Distorted

Thanks to Rev. Mark Warwick for bringing this video to my attention.

I didn’t get a Freya Active Sports Bra Under My Christmas Tree!

Freya Active Underwired Sports BraWell it’s not too late! If you didn’t get the new Freya Sports Bra for Christmas, make it your New Year’s resolution to order one now, ready for your fitness campaign to start as soon as the snow melts…

We have stock of this Fab bra in red, black or white, AND the matching briefs. This bra is designed for D – H cup, but for larger back and cup sizes, have a look at the Elomi Energise range, to be added to the website in the next couple of days.

New Teen Bras

I have discovered some beautiful Teen Bras – non-wired, slightly padded and giving a fabulous shape under t-shirts, in polka dot, tartan and basic colours from Boobs and Bloomers. I would like to add these to the Harwayelingerie.com website soon but I could do with some customer feedback before investing hugely in stock.

I have also had a lot of enquiries about Ballet bras – would this be a good starting point for the website? Thanks, Katy

Puberty Sooner

New research has shown that girls are ‘developing in the chest area’ (Womans Hour Jenni Murray’s words!) sooner than ever in Western Europe. In the 60s and 70′s, the average age for breast development would have been 13 to 15, by the 1990′s, this had fallen to age eleven and up, but now its dropped to age ten and up according to new research by Dr Lise Aksglaede, University of Copenhagen.
